Geography in Cosmic Education

“Feeding the Flames of Imagination”

Bringing Cosmic Education Alive in the Montessori Primary Environment

Course and Mentorship Program

This course is a unique opportunity to delve deeper into Montessori’s Cosmic Education curriculum, with a specific focus on Geography for children between the ages of 6 and 12 in the second plane of development. In contrast to many traditional schools where literacy and numeracy take center stage, Cosmic Education integrates all subjects through a lens of child development, allowing for a more holistic approach to learning.

This course is part of a series focusing on different disciplines within the classroom and will begin with a general overview of Cosmic Education to demonstrate how subject areas overlap and reinforce one another. The course’s primary aim is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of Montessori’s Cosmic Education curriculum and how it can be integrated into the primary classroom to foster a fertile field of activity and inquiry, resulting in learning beyond what is normally expected for this age group.

Each subject module is designed to aid adult understanding of technical and academic aspects of the discipline and provide detailed guides on how to offer the material to children at different stages of their development. Handbooks containing lesson plans and some materials are also provided.
It’s important to note that this course is modular and not intended as a replacement for formal training. However, it is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of Montessori’s Cosmic Education curriculum, particularly focusing on Geography in the second plane of development. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity – enrol now!
